How He Loves Us

He is jealous for me
Loves like a hurricane
I am a tree
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy
When all of a sudden I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by Glory
And I realize just how beautiful you are and how great your affections are for me

Oh how he loves us so

We are his portion and he is our prize
Drawn to redemption by the grace in his eyes
If grace is an ocean we’re all sinking
So, heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets when I think about the way

He loves us
Oh how he loves us so

Such a great song. Amazing story behind it. Don't mean to be stalker-esque, but I was just trying to find a Christian or two on here, I think I've found one unless I'm horribly wrong somehow, haha. Have a great day. Kbye.

I'm blown away by the comment play this song has brought me. Obviously the passion behind this song's lyrics and the powerful melody that drives it have captured people's hearts as they have mine. I have my bones to pick with the Church but I am madly in love with the God that sees me and this song pierces right through to a very soft place in my heart. Glad we, some of us strangers, can share that together.

He loves us.
